The Delta-Cardiff Vol Fire Co. Ambulance Division is charged with providing primary emergency medical services for Delta Borough, Peach Bottom Township and a portion of Lower Chanceford Township, approximately 5,500 residents. The PA Dept. of Health licenses Delta-Cardiff Ambulance to provide service to these communities.
Delta-Cardiff Ambulance is 100% volunteer. The providers receive no direct compensation for their time. The Ambulance Division receives less than 20% of its operating funds from government appropriations. In 2010 the Division responded to 630 calls for service.
In 2011 the number continues to rise. Plans for new development and long term care facilities in the area will only further increase the need for service. Coupled with the need for service are the increased costs to provide that service. By subscribing to the Ambulance Club your $40.00 tax-deductible membership donation helps to defray those expenses not covered by government appropriations and your insurance. Additionally, as a subscriber, you will not be charged for expenses beyond those paid by your insurance.
Membership in the Ambulance Club covers you and your spouse, all dependents under the age of 18, full-time students (high school and college), and elderly dependents that reside with you. A dependent is anyone you claim in your Federal and State Income Tax.
Our goal for the upcoming year is to continue to equip our service providers with the most advanced training through continuing education and seminars. By becoming a member you will be ensuring that this goal is met and that we are able to provide well equipped and up-to-date ambulances with expertly trained emergency medical personnel available to you and your loved ones should the need arise.
Please complete the enclosed application card, return it along with your donation in the envelope provided and keep the small portion of the card for your records. Membership is voluntary. No one will be denied services regardless of membership or ability to pay. I
