Delta Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company

The Delta-Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company has served its community since 1898. We are a fully volunteer fire and ambulance service. All members give their time to serve the community in which they live. Although members are not paid for their services, there are operating expenses incurred when running a fire and ambulance company. Some of these costs are defrayed by tax dollars, however, it is but a small portion of the entire operating budget. Prior to 1999, our department operated on donations from the community. In 1999, we began receiving tax contributions from Delta Borough and Peach Bottom Township. These tax contributions, at the time, were adequate for our operational needs. We currently serve approximately 6,000 residents and with a new housing community in development this year, our population and call load will dramatically increase. Staffing for one engine on a fire call costs the department approximately $1,000.00. As you know, along with cost of living increases, fuel costs have recently soared to astronomical amounts. The relief through taxes that we once were able to use to effectively run our department is depleted because of these increased expenses. Your tax-deductible donation will be used to assist us in providing the most professional service possible. This money will help us purchase new equipment, properly outfit fire fighters, and provide crucial training in order to provide the highest quality of care that you and your family deserve. We are asking for donations so that we may better serve you. Any donation that you can provide will be welcomed. We proudly serve our community and appreciate any assistance that you may be able to provide. Send/make donations to: Delta Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company PO Box 15 Delta, PA. 17314
